Calling us
What To Have Ready
Two minutes of preparation turns a vague call into an accurate quote.
Where you are. Not just the city — the street, and for a vehicle the level of the garage or the row of the lot. Location vagueness is the single most common reason an arrival takes longer than the estimate we gave.
What is actually happening. Whether the key is lost, broken off, or simply on the wrong side of the door. Whether the lock turns but nothing happens, or will not turn at all. Whether the door has been forced. Each of those is a different job.
What kind of door or vehicle. House, apartment, storefront, warehouse. For a car, the year, make and model — this determines almost everything about an automotive job, including whether it is one we can do at all.
What proof you can show. Photo ID with the address for a home, registration and ID for a vehicle, or evidence of authority for a business or a rental. If it is all locked inside, say so on the phone and we will agree what works before anyone drives anywhere.

Brooklin & rural north
Brooklin, Ashburn, Myrtle Station, Columbus and the concession roads. Longer drives, and we tell you honestly how much longer.

Hours & response
When We Answer, And What It Costs
The phone is answered twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, including statutory holidays. That is the whole point of an emergency trade and there is no separate after-hours number to find.
After-hours and holiday work costs more than a weekday afternoon. That is true of every trade in Ontario and any locksmith who claims otherwise is recovering it somewhere else on the invoice. The difference is that you hear the after-hours number on the phone, before we dispatch, not when the work is finished.
Non-urgent work — rekeys, upgrades, commercial maintenance, spare keys — is cheaper booked during the day, and we will tell you that rather than sending someone out at eleven at night for a job that could wait until Tuesday.
Typical response times
✓ Whitby & Port Whitby — 20 to 40 minutes.
✓ Brooklin — 30 to 50 minutes.
✓ Rural concessions — 45 minutes or more, weather depending.
✓ Oshawa & Ajax — 30 to 50 minutes.
✓ Bowmanville & Port Perry — 45 minutes or more.
✓ Life-safety calls — prioritised above everything else.
If a child or a pet is shut inside a vehicle, call 911 first. Then call us.
Booking Non-Urgent Work
Rekeys, lock upgrades, spare car keys, security assessments and commercial maintenance are all better booked in advance. You get a daytime rate, a scheduled window rather than an estimate, and we arrive with exactly the right hardware on board.
For businesses and landlords with several properties, tell us that on the first call. We can hold a key schedule for your sites, which turns a future midnight call about one door into a five-minute job.
And if you are not sure whether you need a locksmith at all — a door that sticks, a key that is getting stiff, a smart lock nobody can administer — describe it. Sometimes the honest answer is that it is a carpentry job, or a two-dollar battery.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a shop I can come to?
No, and deliberately. We are fully mobile, with key machines, cylinders, hardware and diagnostic equipment in the vehicle. Almost nothing in this trade should require you to drive somewhere with a broken lock in a bag.
Do you answer at night for real?
Yes, twenty-four hours including holidays. The person answering can quote the job rather than taking a message.
How do I know how much it will cost?
You get a range on the phone before we drive out, based on the job you describe. If what we find is materially different, you hear about it before any work starts.
What payment do you take?
We invoice every job in writing with the business name on it. Cash-only with no paperwork is the hallmark of the operations this industry is known for, and it is not how we work.
Can you come out for something small?
Yes. Mailboxes, sheds, cabinets, padlocks, a single spare key. These are the jobs nobody else wants to drive out for, and they take minutes.
I am outside Durham Region. Can you still help?
Call and ask. We will tell you honestly whether the drive makes sense for your job or whether you would be better served locally.
